No 7 merry-go-round: Dean Young was the latest Dragon to fill the halfback role. Jamie Soward was left out this week and selected No7 Ben Hornby started as dummy half. Young did his best but doesn't appear a long-term solution to St George Illawarra's problem in this area.

***

What the ?: Matt Cooper had a try disallowed nine minutes into the second half with what the video referee ruled was a knock-on. If not for protesting from Daniel Holdsworth, referee Bernard Sutton wouldn't have even gone to the video referee.

***

Not quite magic: The Dogs won in a canter, but the goalkicking of Daniel Holdsworth left a little to be desired. He missed three of his six attempts at goal. Regular kicker Hazem El Masri usually takes a month to miss that many shots.

***

What next?: Things don't get any easier for the Dragons. An Anzac Day meeting with the Roosters is next. Considering the way the Roosters demolished the Dogs earlier in the season, the Dragons will start at long odds.
